Ukrainians had six obligatory talismans. One of them was clay pots. Pots are a symbol of life, and they were distinguished by timbre. The pot is a man and the pot is a woman. In order for harmony to prevail in the house, it was necessary to have man pots and woman pots on the farm. They were treated as people, so it was important to keep the dishes intact - alive. It was customary to bury an over-chipped or broken pot in the ground. Pots were born, lived and died.
